Slumping Ranas Lose Again
|
A Bird pitched a gem to lead Kansas City to victory over the Puerto Rico Ranas, 5-0. Bird picked up the win for Kansas City, going 6 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The Hepcats bumped their record to 14-11 with this latest triumph.
The Hepcats got a big at-bat from shortstop Hendy Rickerson (BOT). For the game, Rickerson (BOT) went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Kansas City a 1-0 lead.
