Despite a great performance by Anchorage third baseman Ricardo Lomero II, the Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Wheelers by the score of 12-9 at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. Lomero II went 4 for 5 with 4 singles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. This win makes it 6 in a row for Amarillo.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Brent Goldberg to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 3-run home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Armadillos ahead, 12-9. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

In postgame comments, Goldberg said, "I think we gave the fans their money's worth."
