Greer goes 4-for-5, Leads Armadillos to Win
|
The Amarillo Armadillos defeated the Anchorage Wheelers, 8-6, at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. Amarillo third baseman Dusty Greer had a superb performance. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Amos Rich picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Pythagoras was tagged with the loss. At 11-16, the Armadillos are currently 4th in the West Division.
Marcus Otatop drew 1 walk for Amarillo. The 20-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Missizz Durk. It was his 6th RBI of the season.
"We take it day by day here," said Otatop, "and today was a good one for us."
