The 13-4 Amarillo win over Anchorage was due in large part to Dusty Greer. The Armadillos third baseman went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 6 runs and scored once. Amarillo now has a 3-game win streak.

With Amarillo leading 2-0 in the bottom of the fifth, Greer came up to bat against Anchorage pitcher Scud Muffin. Greer hit a splitter to right-center for a 3-run home run. His 9th home run of the season put the Armadillos on top, 5-0.

Greer expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
