Duckley Jr. Excels, But Armadillos Win
The Amarillo Armadillos and State College Swift Steeds lit up the scoreboard.

State College center fielder Press Duckley Jr. was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Amarillo beat the Swift Steeds , 12-8. The triumph puts Amarillo at 19-9 for the season.

Amarillo took a 11-8 lead on Bill Slamsquatch's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Slamsquatch hit in the top of the eighth, left State College pitcher Scott Justice shaking his head.

"It feels good to get this one," Slamsquatch told the Amarillo Today.
