Armadillos Deal Ranas 7-4 Defeat

Commander Warsmoke was instrumental in his team's 7-4 triumph over the Puerto Rico Ranas. The third baseman went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Amarillo Armadillos. Aaron Ritter earned the win for Amarillo. He lasted 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 1. With the win, he raised his record to 2-4. Bas de Leede recorded the save, his 3rd.
Veggie Monster, the 21-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Monster contributed a 2-run single in the top of the third inning to put Amarillo up, 5-1.
"We'll enjoy this win," said Monster. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
The victory gives Amarillo a record of 15-13.
