Macher Deals Chicago 3-1 Setback
|
Behind an impressive start by Stu Macher, Florida beat Chicago, 3-1. Picking up the save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Reid Johnson. The victory gives Florida a record of 20-10.
Macher allowed no runs on 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Flamingos. He walked 2 and struck out 7.
"We made a couple of mistakes," said Chicago skipper , "and it cost us."
