The Providence Crabs rode a solid performance from 27-year-old starting pitcher Dr. Hubert Malbec to a win, beating the Indianapolis Apex, 4-0, at The Pot. Zaxby Chan collected save number 1. With the loss, Indianapolis sinks to 3-5.

Malbec made it look effortless. He scattered 2 hits over 6.2 innings, while racking up 8 strikeouts. The Providence left-hander encountered little resistance from the Indianapolis hitters. His season record is now 2-0.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Malbec said.
