Tight Tilt Goes to Kingpins, 4-3
|
The inspired effort of Kansas City center fielder Revan Shan was not enough to prevent a loss, 4-3, to the Chicago Kingpins. Shan was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Bauer Bottom earned the win after being called from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. The Kingpins now have a record of 13-18 with the win over Kansas City.
Early in the game, designated hitter Mikey Hinckley had a grand slam home run for Chicago. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Kingpins on top, 4-0.
"We did a lot of things right," said Hinckley.
