Flamingos Win Thriller, 4-3
|
The Florida Flamingos wiggled past the Anchorage Wheelers, 4-3, at Florida Man Park. The win was highlighted by the performance of Florida pitcher Stu Macher. The Wheelers, now 11-20, have lost 5 in a row.
The Flamingos procured the win, in large part because of pinch hitter Dexter Jackson. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
In postgame comments, Jackson said he was glad to contribute to an exciting win.
