Apex Rally For Late Win Over Voyagers
|
The Indianapolis Apex knocked off the New York Voyagers, 5-2, in Champions Conference action at Vaughn's House. Indianapolis pitcher and Toronto, Canada, native Biggus Tittious Smittious had an outstanding performance. Indianapolis reliever Takeda Takahashi picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. John Wittman absorbed the loss. Indianapolis goes to 7-1 with the win.
Indianapolis used the timely hitting of Enderman to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Apex on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
Indianapolis manager called it "a good, solid win."
