Hepcats Rally For Late Win Over Lemurs
|
Behind the hitting of Thomas Saint-John, the Kansas City Hepcats clipped the Louisville Lemurs, 6-5. Saint-John was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Hepcats. The win went to Rohn Jocker in relief, making him now 2-1. Blake Faux III took the loss for Louisville. Poe Poe collected his 1st save.
Klemen Kamenik provided a timely hit. The Kansas City right fielder delivered a bases-clearing triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Hepcats on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Saint-John told the Kansas City Today.
The Hepcats saw their record improve to 19-13.
