Chicago Beats Amarillo, 7-3
|
The Chicago Kingpins picked up a win at The Jose Forty-Three Stadium, knocking off the Amarillo Armadillos, 7-3. Starting pitcher Chudigal Son was a big reason why. Son got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 4 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 3 runs. The third-place Kingpins are 15-18.
Sparky Dee, who is tied for 7th in the MiLPBE in hits with 44, took Amarillo hurler Marsh Mellow Jr. deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Kingpins on top, 2-0. In all, Dee had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Dee.
