Good production from third baseman Martin Walker helped the Kansas City Hepcats topple the Amarillo Armadillos, 6-5. Walker went 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Hepcats. Poe Poe picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 4-2. Garlic Bread [BOT] was tagged with the loss. By defeating Amarillo, the third-place Hepcats improved to 19-15.

Kif Kroker was the walk-off hero for Kansas City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Hepcats catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
