The California Firehawks defeated the Brew City Bears, 14-4. Shortstop Lucas Ryan deserved a large share of the credit. Ryan was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 and driving in 3 for the Firehawks. Dr. Hubert Malbec was the winner. He's now 2-6. The loser was 21-year old left-handed pitcher Shota Takahashi. The save went to Keith Hamilton, number 1 for him.

California catcher Ivagotta Dumper contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter to left field for a run-scoring single. It was his 31st hit of the season and put the Firehawks ahead, 2-0.

"It was great to come out and swing the bats," Dumper told the California Times.

California is now 14-20, Brew City 18-16.
