Cheese, on Top of His Game, Beats Kansas City, 1-0
|
Mac N Cheese kept the Kansas City Hepcats hitters from doing much damage at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good.
Kansas City could only muster 5 hits and draw no walks against the right-handed Cheese, who controlled them throughout the game. Anchorage won the contest, 1-0. Cheese added 3 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Cheese told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
Cheese has posted a 1-4 record for the year with a 5.48 ERA. Teams are hitting .326 against him and he has rung up 33 strikeouts in 46 innings.
