Amarillo turned a good effort from starter Takeda Takahashi into a win over the State College Swift Steeds at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. The final score was 3-2. Amarillo is now riding a 8-game win streak.

Amarillo used the timely hitting of Brent Goldberg to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Armadillos on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We put together a nice win," Takahashi said.
