Flamingos Victorious at Kansas City, 7-2
|
A 5-RBI performance from the 22-year old center fielder Alan Greer helped the Florida Flamingos beat the Kansas City Hepcats, 7-2. Jimmy Key-Largo [BOT] earned save number 1 this season. Florida raised its record to 21-14 with the win.
Atlas Sluggs drew 2 walks in 5 trips to the plate for Florida. The 22-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Elijah Miller. It was his 20th walk of the season.
Said losing manager : "It's very easy to sit in an ivory tower and critique the pitching, but the bottom line is we need to score runs."
