The Brew City Bears weathered a fine game by Anchorage designated hitter Rachel Morimura to upend the Wheelers, 8-6, at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Morimura went 2-4 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Fletcher Jones, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits. Brew City has run its win streak to 5 in a row.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Brew City trailing 6-5, Julio Ruiz Jr. hit a slider from Kip Treadwell for a 3-run home run, giving the Bears the walk-off win.

Ruiz Jr. described the clubhouse as "kind of rowdy" after the game.
