Flamingos Reel-In 6-0 Win Over Hepcats
|
Florida starter Daithi Kennedy-Senan pitched well against the Kansas City Hepcats at Center for Kansas City Kids That Can't Read Good. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-0. After today's action, Florida sits at 22-14, while Kansas City falls to 20-16.
The Hepcats had been locked in a 0-0 tie with the Flamingos going into the top of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old second baseman Nathan Murphy came to the plate. Murphy hit a bases-clearing double on a 3-1 screwball from Kansas City hurler Chih-Wei Lee. It was Murphy's 4th double of the year.
Florida manager commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
