Simpson Powers Flamingos to 8-6 Win
|
The Florida Flamingos beat the Amarillo Armadillos, 8-6, at The Burrow Presented By Frankie's Fun Bites. The Flamingos got a fine performance from catcher Homer Simpson, who went 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4. Skyler Stevens sewed up the save, his 2nd. The Flamingos have an impressive 23-13 record.
In the first inning, Simpson had a grand slam home run for Florida. It was his 8th home run of the season and put the Flamingos on top, 4-0.
"Anytime you're seeing it well, it's a good feeling," Simpson told the Florida Citizen.
