Wheelers Upend Armadillos, 3-1
|
The Anchorage Wheelers got a stellar performance from pitcher Bobby Walk, who handcuffed the Amarillo offense en route to a win, 3-1, at The Burrow Presented by the PBE Bigger Strange Pod. The Wheelers improve their record to 20-17 with the win over Amarillo.
Anchorage used a well-timed hit by Zach Le to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Wheelers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"This was a tough loss," said Amarillo manager . "It'll stick in my craw for a while."
