Child Slugs Hepcats to 9-3 Win
The Kansas City Hepcats beat the Chicago Kingpins, 9-3, at The Evil Dictator x Jose Forty-Three Best Friendship Ballpark. The Hepcats got a fine performance from third baseman Gnome Child, who slugged 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kansas City has an impressive 27-11 record.

The Kingpins had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Hepcats going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old second baseman Bookie Metts came to the plate. Metts hit a 2-run home run on a 2-1 fastball from Chicago hurler Osaki Rinji. It was Metts's 2nd home run of the year.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Metts.
