Amarillo first baseman Beau Mathews was a significant contributor in his team's 9-3 triumph over the Louisville Lemurs. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4 for the Armadillos. The 4th-place Lemurs dropped to 19-19.

In the top of the sixth, the Armadillos grabbed the lead when Mathews hit his 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Griff Manzer made it 4-3, Amarillo.
