Bears Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Flamingos, 5-4
|
Florida shortstop Dan Thunder had a good game, even if his team did not. The Flamingos dropped a 5-4 decision to Brew City at Walter Partlo Memorial Stadium at The Tap House. Thunder went 3-4 with a double and 2 singles. The Bears improved their record to 17-21 by beating Florida.
Had Career Minor Leaguer not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Minor Leaguer hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Bears.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Florida manager .
