Flamingos Overcome Great Performance by Love in Win
|
Amarillo got a terrific game from designated hitter Jordan Love. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Florida, 10-8. Love slugged 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times. Stu Macher picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 4-1. The Flamingos saw their win-loss record go to 18-20. At the same time, the Armadillos fell to 15-23.
Ellis Cooper, who is tied for 2nd in the MiLPBE in triples with 2, chipped in for Florida with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
