Armadillos Slap 5-1 Loss on Flamingos

The rain came, as predicted, but the Amarillo Armadillos and Florida Flamingos were able to complete their ballgame.
Zoe D'yak never let Florida get something going. The Amarillo left-hander commanded his circle change in pitching the Armadillos to a 5-1 win. In 6.1 innings, D'yak surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.
Bill Slamsquatch, the 21-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Slamsquatch contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the seventh inning to put Amarillo up, 3-1.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Florida manager .
At 16-23, the Armadillos are currently 4th in the West Division.
