Firehawks Tack 4-2 Loss on Swift Steeds
|
Both teams had their opportunities, but in the end, the California Firehawks got the win.
The California Firehawks got a strong performance from pitcher Thor Lore, who stymied the State College offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Count Longardeaux's Strong Badian Dictionary Fo' My Own Words Stadium. Jose Forty-Three 24/7 closed the game out for California, earning his 2nd save.
California used a well-timed hit by Dirks Kryptonite to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Firehawks ahead, 4-2. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"Our goal is to improve each and every day," Kryptonite told the California Bulletin.
The win elevated the Firehawks to 24-15.
