The timely hitting of Homer Simpson helped the Florida Flamingos down the Chicago Kingpins, 10-5. Simpson went 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Flamingos. Jimmy Key-Largo [BOT] snagged the win in relief. He goes to 2-0 on the season. Jackson Pollock V suffered the loss. Chicago's current losing streak has reached 4 games.
Florida designated hitter Paulie Wag contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 48th hit of the season and put the Flamingos ahead, 6-4.
"The guys are feeling pretty good about where they're at right now," said Flamingos manager . "We have a lot of guys playing with confidence."
