The Chicago Kingpins faced a tough opponent in Puerto Rico pitcher Ribbit Ribbit [BOT], but did just enough to pull out the victory at Kay Faraday Memorial Stadium by a final score of 4-3. Ribbit [BOT] went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Mickey Martino, who is tied for 2nd in the MiLPBE with a 1.39 ERA, was the winner in relief. His record is now 2-1. Chicago used the timely hitting of Troy Monopolitzki to seize the win. The second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kingpins on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
