Hepcats Lose Again, 5-3, to Wheelers
|
Anchorage right-hander Bobby Walk pitched his team to victory over the Kansas City Hepcats at Balto Memorial Field at The Igloo. The final score was 5-3. Walk got the win, improving to 5-2. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Walk allowed no runs. Anchorage now has a record of 24-17 with the win.
In the top of the ninth, Robin Quincy stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Hepcats were trailing 5-3, but had runners on 2nd and 3rd. That's when Richard Dick made a terrific pitch and Quincy flied out. Gone was the dream of a Kansas City comeback.
