Von Kriestalhauser Shines in 7-2 Amarillo Win
|
The Amarillo Armadillos beat the State College Swift Steeds by a score of 7-2. Amarillo center fielder Kries Von Kriestalhauser deserved the lion's share of the credit. Von Kriestalhauser went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Armadillos. Aria Bluesky got credit for the win, improving to 8-1. He allowed 1 run on 8 hits in 5.1 innings. With the win, Amarillo pushed its record to 24-17.
Brendan Shimmy, the 23-year old designated hitter , had a direct impact on the outcome. Shimmy contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Amarillo up, 4-0.
