Demons Drop Aviators, 6-4, with Late Score
|
Danger Dollarson led Detroit to a triumph over Outer Banks. The final score was 6-4. The third baseman went 3 for 4, falling a triple shy of the cycle. He scored 1 run and added 3 RBI. Detroit reliever Korrin Abernathy Jr. picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Wade Cilliams Jr. was saddled with the loss. Thorne Belfour picked up the save, his 4th.
Dollarson delivered in the bottom of the eighth inning for Detroit. With the game tied and a runner on 1st, the third baseman hit a run-scoring double to left-center.
"This is a very good team," said Dollarson. "We have the chance to do something special."
At 30-23, the Demons claim first place in the Champions Conference East.
