Scorpions Get Clonked by Stars, 3-2

The Nashville Stars got a good effort from starter Guy-Manuel L'or in defeating the Death Valley Scorpions at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The final score was 3-2. The winning pitcher was L'or, now 3-2. He tossed 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 6. With the win, the Stars hiked their record to 23-16.
Nashville used the clutch hitting of Ichiban Sokudo to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Stars ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said L'or. "Successful pitchers do it."
