The Outer Banks Aviators did just enough to sneak past the Indianapolis Apex, 4-3, at The Brickyard. Outer Banks pitcher Sniper King, in particular, had a standout performance. King, now 7-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 5, walking 2, and allowing no runs. The second-place Aviators improved to 29-25.

Outer Banks used a well-timed hit by Bazooka Slow to capture the win. The center fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Aviators ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
