Scorpions Pull Off Thrilling 6-4 Win in Extras
|
Despite a fine performance by left fielder Slate Grey, the Nashville Stars lost to the Death Valley Scorpions, 6-4, in 10 innings. Grey was 2-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Lanky Schramm wrapped it up, recording his 2nd save. After today's action, Death Valley sits at 35-20; Nashville slips to 27-28.
Death Valley used the timely hitting of Laser Show to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Scorpions on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"This is a very good team," said Show. "We have the chance to do something special."
