Seattle Slaps 6-1 Loss on Lunar Base
|
The home crowd had a good time watching the Lunar Base Space Rangers and Seattle Sea Serpents get after it.
The Seattle Sea Serpents went home winners at The Aquadome, thanks in large part to starter Ivy de Vries. de Vries stifled the Lunar Base Space Rangers, enabling Seattle to grab the 6-1 win. de Vries yielded 1 run over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 8 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 7-4. Lilo Pelekai earned the save, his 1st.
Seattle third baseman Bradley Wellerman Jr. contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the second. With two down, he hit a cutter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 48th hit of the season and put the Sea Serpents ahead, 2-0.
Seattle manager called it "a good, solid win."
The win puts Seattle at 30-25 this season.
