Crabs Get Clutch Win Versus Toronto
Joe Random, who led the Legends in innings pitched with 181.1 last year, had a strong outing for the Providence Crabs against the Toronto Pathfinders at The Pot. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The winner in relief was Randy Colón. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Providence first baseman Beryl Summers, facing Fridtjof Nansen, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Crabs the 4-3 win.
