The home crowd had a good time watching the Indianapolis Apex and New Orleans Rougarous get after it.

New Orleans first baseman Air Yordong made his presence felt in the 8-1 Rougarous triumph over the Indianapolis Apex. Yordong was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Picking up the win was Maurice Bernard. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The left--hander struck out 8 and walked 1.

Malcolm Kell had a big grand slam home run for the Rougarous in the bottom of the fourth inning. With New Orleans leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he sized up a circle change from Xavier Pruitt, who finished 2nd in the Champions in innings pitched with 182.0 in 2071, and punished it. The result was his 3rd home run of the season, which put the Rougarous on top, 5-0.

"We took home the win," said Yordong. "What's not to like?"

With this game in the books, New Orleans is 30-26, Indianapolis 27-29.
