Xicoyotl Montalbán was a major factor in the 7-2 Death Valley win over Nashville. The Scorpions third baseman was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Bandit Keith finished to wrap up his 5th save. With the win, Death Valley pushed its record to 37-19.

With Death Valley leading 4-1 in the top of the ninth, Montalbán hit a screwball from Akio de Los Santos for a 3-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Scorpions ahead, 7-1.

"I really like what we did out there today," Montalbán said after the game.
