A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Cancun Toros and Lunar Base Space Rangers.

The Cancun Toros beat the Lunar Base Space Rangers, 8-0, at Lunar Base SkyDome. Mengie Brolina, who finished 2nd in the Champions in home runs with 29 last year, starred for Cancun. He was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Today's win puts Cancun at 32-24, while Lunar Base falls to 20-36.

Cancun used a well-timed hit by Victor Cortez to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Toros ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"We didn't get the results that we wanted," said Lunar Base skipper .
