Rougarous Pocket 3-2 Win Against Death Valley
|
Starting pitcher Dash Jackson gave the New Orleans Rougarous a rock-solid effort. The Boston, Massachusetts native helped his team defeat the Death Valley Scorpions, 3-2, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. The defeat makes Death Valley 38-19.
New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Odin CheekiSon to capture the win. The right fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rougarous ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It never gets old," said CheekiSon. "Winning, that is."
