The Buffalo Surge had to overcome a good performance from Providence pitcher Crabstin d'Potson to claim a 3-2 win at The Power House. d'Potson went 6.2 innings and allowed 1 run. Reliever Minerva Madson picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Dusty DeSoto took the loss. Buffalo's record now stands at 19-23, placing them last in the Legends Conference East.
The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Buffalo trailing 2-1, J.C. Tomlin hit a circle change from Herbert Fisher to right-center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Surge had a walk-off win.
"Every loss hurts," said Providence manager . "But this was a tough one."
