The 7-6 Outer Banks win over New York was due in large part to Bazooka Slow. The Aviators center fielder went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while scoring 2. The winning pitcher was Wombat Jones. He tossed 107 pitches over 6.1 innings, allowing 3 runs on 10 hits. Picking up the save was 24-year old left-handed pitcher Goro Shigeno.

Ángel de la Fuerte had a big run-scoring double for the Aviators in the top of the eighth inning. With Outer Banks leading 6-3 and a runner on 2nd, he got a cutter from 26-year old left-handed pitcher Anthony Stover and swatted a double to left. It was his 15th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Aviators ahead, 7-3.

Outer Banks now has a record of 35-22 with the win.
