Death Valley Earns 9-8 Win
The Death Valley Scorpions defeated the Cancun Toros, 9-8, in 12 innings at Cari Price Memorial Stadium. Xicoyotl Montalbán pulled his weight. The 7-year veteran went 2-6 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. Death Valley pitcher Bandit Keith got the win. He's now 2-2. Samuel Smoltz was tagged with the loss. The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Scorpions.

The Scorpions got a clutch hit from shortstop Literal Flamingo. In the bottom of the 12th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Scorpions.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Death Valley manager .
