The Outer Banks Aviators withstood an impressive performance by New York catcher Brian Payne to defeat the Voyagers, 16-12, at Vaughn's House. Payne went 4-4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. The Aviators, at 27-31, inhabit last place in the Legends Conference East.

Outer Banks used the clutch hitting of Curtis Jones to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to give the Aviators the lead, 10-9. For the game, Jones had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
