New Orleans Stopped, 7-5, by Seattle
The Seattle Sea Serpents beat the New Orleans Rougarous, 7-5, at Full Moon Stadium. Seattle right fielder Chris Cash Jr. had an outstanding performance. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Seattle starter Pim Pimling was credited with the win after throwing 104 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 6-6. Kip Treadwell closed out the game, earning his 8th save.

Seattle used the timely hitting of Bookie Metts to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Sea Serpents on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We ground out the win," said Cash Jr.. "That's all that matters."

The third-place Sea Serpents lifted their record to 26-32.
