Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Indianapolis Apex and Outer Banks Aviators.

The Indianapolis Apex went home winners at The Brickyard, thanks in large part to starter Flop Quads. Quads stifled the Outer Banks Aviators, enabling Indianapolis to grab the 3-1 win. With the win, the Apex hiked their record to 34-26.

Edward Mackinlay hit a run-scoring double off Joseph Mathys Hendry in the bottom of the eighth, which put the Apex in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Mackinlay had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 3.

"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Mackinlay.
