Multi-HR Day for Ingram as Raptors Overpower Surge, 5-3
|
A 3-RBI performance from Chauncey Ingram, who is on pace to hit 26 home runs this season, helped the Boise Raptors beat the Buffalo Surge, 5-3. Kenny DeNunez, now 2-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. Buffalo, at 22-23, has lost 5 straight.
Had Udo Bonga not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Bonga hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Raptors.
"Feels good to get the job done," Bonga said after the game.
