Providence pitcher Iceman did his part in helping his team beat the Cancun Toros, 5-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Providence is now 40-21, while Cancun is 35-26.

Providence used the timely hitting of JD Pants to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Crabs on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Iceman said.
