Surge Pick Up 4-3 Win Against Lunar Base
|
The Buffalo Surge picked up a win at The Power House, dropping the Lunar Base Space Rangers, 4-3. J.C. Swishman, who led the Legends in wins with 19 in 2073, was the difference-maker. By defeating Lunar Base, the last-place Surge improved to 25-36.
Homer Slamson had a big 2-run double for the Surge in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Buffalo leading 2-1 and runners on 1st and 3rd, he got a splitter from Oilohnroc Yttef, who is tied for 10th in the Champions in quality starts with 8, and swatted a double to center. It was his 7th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Surge ahead, 4-1.
"I'm just looking to see the ball, hit the ball," said Slamson.
