Crabs Get Hard-Earned Win
The Providence Crabs did just enough to sneak past the Death Valley Scorpions, 1-0, at The Pot. Providence pitcher Joe Random, in particular, had a standout performance. With the win, Providence upped its record to 41-21.

The Crabs got a clutch hit from designated hitter JD Pants. In the bottom of the ninth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Crabs.

"From the first pitch, Joe was ready to rock and roll," said Providence manager .
