The 2075 season did not get off to quite the start the Providence Crabs had hoped, with an opening day loss to the Buffalo Surge at The Pot. The final score was 6-2. Starting Pitcher J.C. Swishman was the top performer for Buffalo.

Buffalo used the hitting of D.W. Dogmaple to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Surge on top, 3-0. For the game, Dogmaple had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.

Dogmaple told a Buffalo Gazette reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
