Seattle Beats Boise, 4-0
|
The Seattle Sea Serpents topped the Boise Raptors, 4-0, in Champions Conference action at Hammond Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Seattle pitcher Chris Cash. Cash, now 2-0, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 3, walking 3, and allowing no runs. Picking up the save was Jay Kirkpatrick, his 1st.
Seattle used the timely hitting of Zak Johnson III to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Sea Serpents on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I just trusted my stuff," said Cash.
At 6-3, the Sea Serpents have played well so far.
