New Orleans Gets 6-4 Win
|
Good production from center fielder Jefferson Steelflex helped the New Orleans Rougarous topple the San Antonio Sloths, 6-4. Steelflex went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Rougarous. Fenrir Lyken got the win, improving to 3-0. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 5 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 3. Getting the save was GOAT TANK, his 3rd.
With New Orleans leading 4-0 in the top of the fourth, Steelflex came up to bat against San Antonio pitcher Artemis Aria. Steelflex hit a fastball to right for a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Rougarous on top, 6-0.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said New Orleans manager .
The Rougarous, now 8-1, have been playing some good baseball.
