It took 16 innings to settle this one.

Death Valley wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Deviver Votto, falling to the Boise Raptors, 9-7. Votto threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Earning his 1st save of the year was Tom E. Jahns.

Boise used the timely hitting of Cianán Muirchertach to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 16th inning to put the Raptors on top, 7-5. It was his only hit in 7 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Muirchertach.

Death Valley falls to 1-8.
