The Scorpions grabbed a win, 3-2, at Cari Price Memorial Stadium, overcoming a fine effort from Seattle pitcher Ivy de Vries. de Vries went 6 innings and allowed 1 run. Death Valley pitcher Bandit Keith got the win. He's now 3-1. Lilo Pelekai was tagged with the loss. With the win, Death Valley raised its record to 42-22.
The Scorpions got a clutch hit from catcher Daniel Plainview. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Scorpions.
"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Seattle manager .
